Make a funny moment for your group chat, save a favorite quote, or turn a memorable scene into a social media highlight. Search the line you remember, choose the surrounding dialogue, and keep just the part you want.
Use a vertical canvas for a social post, a square crop for a feed, or keep the original framing. Burn in captions so the dialogue stays visible, add your own text, and download an MP4 to share wherever you choose.
Crop removes the surrounding image. Fit keeps the whole selected crop inside a target canvas and fills spare space with a solid background. Fill crops any excess to cover the canvas. Neither mode stretches the picture or enlarges small sources by default.
If your browser cannot play the original video, create a compatible preview for the selected interval. Preparation and rendering use a queue; a long source is not automatically transcoded. Cuts follow decoded frame timing, so millisecond input cannot promise subframe precision.
You provide the subtitles; this tool does not transcribe speech. UTF-8 and BOM-marked UTF-16 are detected automatically; Windows-1252 is available explicitly. Edit caption text or shift all subtitle times up to ten minutes in either direction. Saved clip boundaries stay fixed when you change subtitle alignment.
The first available audio track is selected by default. Choose another inspected track in Audio. Silent sources export without audio. Additional video streams, embedded subtitles, chapters and attachments are ignored. DejaVu and Noto fonts cover many scripts, but not every glyph or emoji.
One video up to 2 GiB and one SRT up to 5 MiB. Videos are limited to one hour and 3840 × 2160 decoded pixels. Up to 20,000 subtitle items, 20 saved clips per project, five text layers per clip and two unexpired projects per guest. Export intervals are 0.25–300 seconds. Final MP4s use H.264 and AAC when audio exists, with a 200 MiB per-clip output cap.
One fixed deadline applies to your originals, subtitles, edits, previews and downloads: one hour after preparation completes. Editing, rendering and refreshing do not extend it. Delete project now revokes access immediately and schedules physical cleanup. Unfinished uploads and failed preparation expire one hour after creation.
Saved clips recover through the same guest session. New selections are saved only after Add clip. Losing the session loses access. On mobile, open a download and use Share → Save to Files if your browser does not save it automatically.
